Cavendish Inspiring Womxn (CiW)

The UK has many leading womxn academics, entrepreneurs and womxn in industry who come from physics backgrounds. These women play an important role in inspiring the new generation of womxn in physics.

Cavendish Inspiring Womxn (CiW) aims to help raise the visibility of such successful womxn by putting them in front of younger women considering careers in physics. We are a student-led group composed of undergraduate students, PhD students and Postdocs from the University of Cambridge, UK.

Our projects include holding speaker events at the Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge, and the publication of a booklet to encourage young high-school-age womxn into physics.
